Shion started in 1992, the year in which Shinyamashita Community Care Plaza was established, and now meets on the first and third Thursday of every month. The twelve members of the group, all of whom are handicraft enthusiasts and live in the area, work together to produce handicrafts. We sell our products at local bazaars and donate the proceeds to charity. We enjoy making a variety of seasonal items and accessories. It is important for us to continue our volunteer activities for a long time. We try our best to keep up our activities as much as we can.

America-zaka Farm, which manages the farm at Honmokuwada Community Care Plaza, is a community activity club that grows vegetables. About three years ago, we advertised on the bulletin board at the Care Plaza, and the members that came along decided on the vegetables to be planted, the name of the farm, and the rules of the club.
